This is a compilation of my works from freelance artist to professionals. I have realized that in this world, documents are important symbols of your passion. You need to show people how good your works are. And i am showing it to you.
April 25th,2011-on my to Bantayan Island for an Holy Week Getaway. 7am
It was a surprise. I was featured in one whole page in a local broadsheet in the metro-SUNSTAR. I was in interviewed by a UP writer-Ms. Rejzl Awit weeks ago. She was curious about my life story so she made one for me. Anyways, it made me proud of myself. My cousins and relatives bought each a copy because I texted them to buy. hahaThanks to Ms. Agnes Garrido, Hannah Bacalla and Patricia Zosa for the contributed photos. Sorry for the erratum. They forgot to put your names. But, surely I appreciate the help.
This was not common to me when it comes to tribal-ish safarian rastafarie look that we wanted to achieve in this shoot that I have with Mr. Kiddo Canovas and a very young 14-year old photographer Kurt whom I have worked with before.
The concept was about a nymph wondering in her garden. Much as I wanted to interpret the scenario, it was just simply a photoshoot. Everytime I have a photoshoot whether paid or x-deal I still manage to bring my complete gear and other necessities for the shoot. I even designed the accessories which are made of indigenous materials from abaca ropes to colorful feathers.
Feathers? Haha my classmates would always get my attention everytime the word feathers pop up in class especially in decorations. I usually use feathers in my journals or scrapbook which I am fond of putting. I am really in love with feathers which I even don’t know. I guess, I like its softness and the wonders of how God made it so wonderful. Anyways, I also brought some bangles which have animal prints and violet-green seaweed colored gown which I got from my treasure chest. Haha
Here is a sample look of my masterpieces that I made earlier that time when we had a shoot later the afternoon.
Accessories I made aside from the ready-made bangles i bought in Colon.

the magic of hair extensions- the Goddess Portraiture
I am always looking after the photoshoots of the America’s Next Top Model Seasons. I have in my gondola seasons 1-14. Haha It really really inspired me to do a lot of concepts about photo shoots and set directions. And then I based it on ANTM cycle 14 in their bi-racial shoot. On the other hand, with her make-up, I tried to use color blocking technique which is evident in her eye color and lips. Since, our model Apple Colminares has short wavy hair; I put some hair extensions to it to denote a long hair which nymph on the river has. Gladly, the hair was not that obvious.
Since the shoot was a concept we made and since I brought my own camera too, I decided to document the shoot as well and took some clips. Here are some of my shots. Please bear with me because I am not really that pro.

Thanks to our muse this day, Apple whom I worked with for the first time and acts like a professional model. It was humid that time, very tiring yet the team manages to shoot. I guess it all went well.
The Zee Magazine April 2011 has finally arrived in the bookshelves in the metropolis. I waited for this for about 3 months after we had our photoshoot at Talima Islands and Water Adventures last January 2011. I was very excited knowing that VIP tickets for freelancer like me rarely get it. So I decided to jump in into the opportunity given. Me and my assistant make-up artist Rj worked hand in hand to impress the zee people. I was given sample pegs for the hair and make-up concept. The idea was about loose hair, braided, simple. The make-up look was inspired to runway show look with less eye make-up but having bold and bright lips.
This was my first time to work with the Zee Team. I did not at first that I’ll be the one to do make-up for the cover. A first timer like me was pressured because I am working with some of Cebu’s respected artists. As we rode on the boat to the location, I came to know that the photographer was Jan Gonzales, whom I idolize for taking such brilliant photos about fashion and the likes. He has that certain trademark in his artistry. Minutes later, we arrived at the locale and then started to do our task. Everything was documented and properly planned from the accessories to the right outfit to wear.

I enjoyed the time waiting for this publication. I am very much proud of myself knowing that I did my best. Thanks to Ms. Katsy Borromeo ( Managing Editor, Zee) and to Ms. Pia Echievarria( In –House Writer, Zee) and the rest of the team. Thank you so much.
THE ALL GIRLS GETAWAY, LIFESTYLE NETWORK MANILA
On the same issue, my design and make-up works were also published in this magazine. I was really, really happy knowing that erratums didn’t take its point. The All girls getaway was done here in Cebu as part of their price of winning the Lifestyle Network Promo. It was all about girls who have been for 20 years and more remained friends even though they have their families and different works.
The story behind my inclusions about this event was that a friend of mine, Dierrek Crisostomo, whom I have known through Facebook referred me to Mr. Don Corton of Lifestyle Network Manila. It was on that late afternoon, where I was drowning into the bustling grounds on my way home, someone called me and asked me if I am willing to be part of the said event. Haha without second thought, I answered Yes! I was very happy that they included me to be part of this coverage. I did make-up for one of the five girls and assisted Mr. Romero Vergara who is one of the official make-up artist that day.
The video coverage was aired on Lifestyle Network SkyCable Channel 52 last February.
Unluckily, I haven’t watched any of the episodes which appeared 5 times in different slots the whole week. Haha The shoot took place at Hotel Elizabeth last December 2010. I was kinda hesitant to push through my commitment of this footage because that time I had a mid-term exam to catch those days. The footage took place for about 3 days here in Cebu from Hotel Elizabeth to Shangri-La Mactan ( sponsors of the event). But I still manage my time from attending classes and doing my part time job as a make-up artist.

The world is just as small as a snow ball figurine. Shaking it up until you see that replica of what snow looks like when they fall. The world is just as small as we could imagine but as wide as the horizons above. The world is just as small as they thought when they knew that they found love within themselves.
Dated april 16,2011, Saturday. Two of God’s handmade become one. I could still remember Spice girl’s soundtrack entitled “When two become one “. The day was as refreshing as I thought, all were prepared and everything went well.
Room 1124, the Marriot Hotel, Cebu. 7am
Me and my assistant rj Delmar ( my hairstylist and partner in doing make-up for about 3 years) arrived early. ( first time? Haha). We were so excited that ate pam and kuya rey are getting married and we have the chance to be with them and be part of their momentous event in their lives. It was also my first time to meet up-close and personal Mr. Lemuel Rosos, a known fashion designer in the metro and also a wedding coordinator and a make-up artist as well. He was yet a very witty person and super “ kataw-anan” (funny). It was also my second time working with the batikang photographer, Mr. Jaypee Noche who has been known for taking wonderful photos here in abroad. ( diba, unsa ka layshoo!)
Mr. Hejie Suralta who has been wide awake for almost 38 hours since Thursday for all the preparation, I guess ate Pamela was the relaxed bride ever. Ate Pam’s and Kuya Rey’s friends were the one who helped them from proof readings to the smallest details they could see. And oh, Thanks sir hejie for this opportunity. Hehe ( thanks sa booking!)
Moreover, here’s a glimpse of her royal highness and her humble wardrobe.

Me and rj were waiting at the dressing room for the both them to prepare for their make-up overs and retouch. Haha, but they were still on the ground floor taking photos in the wild wild green grass of hope in short sa kalibunan sa gawas sa building. Haha—so nag kiat-kiat lang sa mi sa room. Ahaha naa mi sa 8th floor then sila ate pam and kuya rey naa pa sa kayutaan. Haha

Their instant post-nuptial shoot.
A round of applause!
I was very happy and relaxed that time doing the make-up. I never heard any constructive criticisms and kaartihan with them. As in. They were very happy about the outcome of their look. I guess we did a good job with rj. Haha

The groom.
This is my 8th bridal make-up coverage and I am really really at ease and happy knowing that I am working with a very patient and kind couple. I really admired them because they really planned everything. And that’s the best thing to do when entering a married relationship. Congratulations to the newly wed Ms. Pamela Aguinas and Mr. Rey Labadan.
The Traditional Money Dance.
It all started during the Argao Fashion show that we were able to know ourselves through hi and hellos. But then, to this very moment, I thank you for always believing in me and I thank God for bringing you both into my life, I learned a lot from you. God Bless You both:)
This was my window display design for Carolina’s SM City Cebu. This was school project for us under Mrs. Felma Alino’s Class- Window Diplay Design and Merchandising. My groupmates should work hand in hand because this is our final plate for the semester.
Dated February 12, 2011. We were given the theme of Valentine’s. So we need to use color red as a dominant hue for dressing the mannequin. But our group decided to mix and match with the color- white to have an accent.
We had discussions and plans about the display and we thought of a Rococo Art combined with a festive touch like those of our local Sinulog Celebration and those of the Moroccan inspired looks. In the store, we get all the materials we need, thousands of pins, tacks, rich colored fabrics and laces.
Here are sample pegs of the window display presentation.
this window display run for about two weeks in the store. Carolina's staff were amazed with out presentation and also the owner Mr. Phillip Rodriguez, the designer himself ( FILIPPO) was astounded by our creation. It was not easy on our part doing the display since there are lots of people passing the store and took a photo of us while setting everything on its right place. But we were very happy with outcome and ofcourse with our grade.
Thanks to my teammates who worked with me: Erbie Alcordo, Neil Nuñez, Gen Sagmon, Jean Yniesta and Anne Caca. it was all worth the effort.ciao:)
these were the designs i made for the Japengo Ad Standee Design. This Ad already run for almost four months. I just had the opportunity to upload this one .haha I designed the skirt which has wires on its end and zippered pants with red and black colors. ( this standee can be seen in all branches in Cebu)
thanks to Gerald Abelgas for the trust. Special thanks to Sir Dan ( Manager, Japengo)
As we were able to plan this shoot weeks ago, i was very excited then. me and Ms. Agnes had a lot of preparations. There were lots of ideas to take note of and resulted to a very editorial high-fashion shoot incorporated with the art of dyeing, alibata writings and color theories.
We had to start early so that we can still reach daytime's Glory. on her make-up, i combined both color pigments of yellow and violet with beads on her eyelids, i also put feathers to accent her beautiful french-look face. Bold yellow matter color dust evaluates her pout lips. on her background, we have to prepare a violet colored mixture. We prepare hot water, salt and vinegar to encapsulate the art of dyeing. Then, we use the artistry as a splashing effect as a background.
it was a very tiring shoot but we ended up very satisfied seeing the outcome of the shoot. Thanks to Ms. Agnes and to Eden. It was a lot of fun.
Medium used: Pigments of Yellow and Violet, color dusts, Poster paints, Beads,
